AccountError1

Mozy cannot find the account you are trying to use on its servers. This is usually because of a mistyped password or username (your email address).

If your backup fails with this error code, you may have changed your password on the website, but the application still has your old password stored. Open the MozyHome configuration to update your password.

To resolve the problem:

  1. Verify you have typed the correct username and password (ensure there are no blank spaces before or after the username or password).
  2. If the error persists, verify that Caps Lock is not on.
  3. If the error persists, reset your password at https://mozy.com/login.
    1. Right-click the Mozy icon in the system tray , then click Configure.
    2. Type your new password in the appropriate fields, then click OK.
  4. If you have downloaded the MozyHome client software but have not yet signed up for an account, click here to register with MozyHome.
  5. If the error persists, contact Mozy technical support (support@mozy.com). For security verification purposes, please be prepared with the last 4 digits of the credit card used to sign up.
