Configuring MozyHome

With MozyHome for Mac, you can configure which files and folders either by selecting the files directily or using a backup sets. In addition, you can select your preferences for the Mozy client such as the bandwidth to use and the backup schedule.

The Mozy client uses backup sets to find specific file types in specified directories. A default set of backup sets are included that search common directories. You can edit the existing backup sets to fit your needs or create custom backup sets. For example, if you have an computer aided design application that saves files .cad, you can create a custom backup set to find and backup all files with the extension of .cad in the directories you specify.

If a folder is too large to back up but you want to make sure you back up certain files within that folder, then it is a good idea to use the Files and Folders tab to select the specific files you need to back up.
