During the installation process, the user is prompted to enter a personal key in the form of a passphrase. If you select this method, you cannot use the auto or assisted activation methods. In addition, you need to either provide a key ahead of time for the user to enter, or allow the users to specify their own personal key. When you select user specified encryption, it allows the users to perform a Web restore in addition to an in-client restore.
Important: If you select to let the user specify their own personal key, the users are responsible for remembering that personal key. If users forget their personal keys, they will not be able to access their backed up files when they are restored.
