Change Temporary File Location for Backup Software on Mac Mozy User Guide

The Mozy backup software for Mac uses a temporary folder on your hard drive to prepare your files for encryption. If you want to use another mounted drive that has more space available to store the temporary files, you can choose a custom location where Mozy places the temporary files.

  1. Click the Mozy icon Mozy Icon in the menu bar, then select Open Mozy Preferences.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. Select Use custom location for temporary files, then click the adjacent default location.
  4. Choose an option:
    • Select another folder.
    • To browse to the new location, click Choose, select a location, and then click Open.
    Your changes are automatically saved.
